The Greensboro Day School Bengals return three players from last year's state champion team, but they've got a nice mix of transfers and new additions that should make a difference. Here's a look at some notes from their open gym.

2020 wing Christian Bailey and 2021 guard Brock Williams were not in attendance.

2020 guard Carson McCorkle: McCorkle is a combo guard that can shoot off the catch and off the dribble. He's got underrated athleticism that opponents will soon learn about once they step onto the floor with him. He's set to have a strong season in the backcourt alongside Cam Hayes.

2020 guard Cam Hayes: Hayes is a nice change of pace to McCorkle in that he's a lot stronger at putting the ball on the floor and getting to the rim. He's got a ton of athleticism that he uses well off the dribble to get to the rim. He's got the dynamic ability to post players up with his length at 6-foot-3 as well. The NC State Wolfpack have a strong recruiting class with him in it.

2020 wing/forward Cason Pierce: Pierce gives the Bengals a solid versatile option on the wing and on the interior. He can post up and space the floor on the perimeter with his ability to knock down the 3-ball. He's getting tons of interest from Emory University along with Princeton, VMI, Cornell, Johns Hopkins, Washington & Lee, Hampden Sydney among some other colleges across all levels.

2020 guard Whit Trevey: Trevey is a vocal leader and an energy guy set to play a solid role on this team. He can run the floor with pace and knock down the 3-pointer with ease. He's a smart player that should accept his role well as a key reserve for this group. He's getting looks from Washington & Lee, Emory, Randolph Macon and Roanoke College.

2021 forward Bryce Harris: Harris recently transferred in from Brentwood, New York where he averaged 20.3 points per game. He's set to make a name for himself as a solid inside-out option. He's got a big frame for his size at 6-foot-5 and should strengthen their frontcourt with his ability to finish in the paint and around the rim. Siena was in attendance at open gym to see him work out. He already holds offers from Elon, Howard, Lafayette, Stony Brook and Bryant University.

2021 Cam Leake: Leake is another player in the backcourt that should time considering his knack for playing defense. He's got nice shoulders and underrated bounce that allows him to finish at the rim. He's one reserve to keep an eye on for this squad.

2022 forward Jackson Nobles: Nobles stood out at open gym with his sheer size and length at 6-foot-7. He can play above the rim and has nice touch around the rim for a player of his size. He should learn a lot with such a talented group of players around him.

2023 guard/wing Jaydon Young: It will be interesting to see how Young adjusts to his new scenery after spending last season at Wayne Christian School. He gives them another versatile prospect to work with his size and length at 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds. He's got tons of athleticism and is due to play a big role in the backcourt in 2019-20 with this squad.
