Let’s begin with some players that may need to go the JC route, obviously this list could change over the season but it wouldn’t hurt for JC programs to know about these guys already.
South Granville HS Wing Wykise Allen: He’s picked up D1 and D2 interest but will most likely need to go the JC route which will only help him recruitment wise. He can do various things on the floor as well as play multiple positions, when’s he’s aggressive he’s effective and will only get better when he gets into a top notch strength and conditioning program on the college level. Recently at the ENC FAB 40 Camp, he took home Camp MVP, 3 Point Contest and helped his team win the Camp Championship, showing that he can do a bit of it all.
Sanderson HS Forward Tylan Green: A player that is still under the radar to many, we really like what he brings to the table and his potential to be special. He’s a legit 6’5 with a long wingspan and solid athletic ability that he uses on both ends of the floor. One attribute that we really like about him is that he doesn’t back down from a challenge, he competes on every possession and will only get better over the next few years.
Athens Drive Guard AJ Thompson: He was one of the names that you heard alot about this summer and rightfully so. He’s a taller guard at about 6’4 that can score it at a very high level but also has a nice feel for the game that allows him to make plays for others. We truly feel that after two years of JC he will be one of those players that has a high amount of D1 offers.
New Life Christian Guard Dahaun Jones: The speedy PG will need to go the JC route and would fit great into a program that likes their guards to push the pace and defend full court. He has put it a nice amount of work to round out his game offensively and will only get better as time goes on, look for him to have a big time season this year.
Fayetteville Christian Forward Jaden Scriven: He could very well end up as a prospect that will not need to go the JC route but it’s a possibility. Already holding an offer from a D1 JC program, he could see that list increase as more eyes get the chance to see him this season. Strength, athleticism and the ability to make plays from various spots on the court offensively are all things that make him special.
