Over July 12th-14th, I was able to witness some strong forward play over at Bellevue College. Listed below are some of the top forward performers from the Premier Summer Showcase!

Garrison Kepley SF/PF C/O 2021 Featured Image*: Decently sized dominant small forward. Moves his feet fell on defense and blocked multiple shots in each game. Smart high and low post player. Turns and squares up to the hoop well. Has a solid mid range shot, consistently caught and shoot from the free throw line area against the zone. Made great passes from inside the post to teammates. If he puts on some weight and continues to grow, he could be a dominant force at North Creek High-school and in AAU for his final two years of school before college.

Bryce Wressell SF C/O 2020: Very fundamentally sound on defense. He played lanes well for his size. Boxes out and gets numerous rebounds, also was able to move his feet when guarding smaller players. He frequently blocked shots on opponent drives. Great high post player, squares up and attacks or kicks to teammates. Showed solid post moves, spinning, fading to get buckets.

Chiok Nyuon PF/C C/O 2020: Lengthy forward with a strong inside presence on both ends of the court. Squares up to the hoop and uses the backboard consistently. Could improve on post moves as well as his aggressiveness in the paint to secure contact and get players in foul trouble. He often would get in the right position in the post to score first or second chance points. I was impressed by his ability to contest shots on defense then grab boards.

Justin Hamilton PF/C C/O 2021: Big sized forward/center that likes to hang around the low post area. Got plenty of rebounds on both ends of the floor and lots of second chance points. Solid stroke can hit mid range and close shots at a high percentage. Even with an injured, taped up hand he was still able to dominate on both ends. Used his body well to square up and attack with a variety of inside post skills. Took contact well and finished. He always looked for the outlet pass quickly to create transition buckets.
