Rising Star
Get used to hearing the name Judah Mintz. Mintz definitely put his name on a lot of college coaches radar as he had a superb week in North Augusta leading his Team Takeover team to the 15u Peach Jam final four. In four games with Takeover, he finished with an average of 19.3 points per game. Right now he definitely looks more advanced than a lot of kids his age and one of the reasons he is 6 in our initial Maryland/DC 2022 rankings.
Jakai Robinson Leads 16u To Title Game
The 16 and under Team Takeover bunch lost a heartbreaker on Sunday in the Peach Jam Finals to Team Griffin. However, just getting to the finals shows you how much talent this team has as they had a hard fight to get to the championship game. Our number one prospect in the class of 2021 for Maryland/DC, Jakai Robinson, really showed why he is deserving of that ranking finishing with an average of 15.7 points per game. Look for this group to make another deep run in the EYBL when they all move up to 17U.
Mr. Productive
There have not been a lot of people that are able to stop 2020 Terrance Williams being so productive. The unsigned rising senior was doing it all this past week in North Augusta. There have been a lot of question marks about his size and what position he will be at the next level, but none of those question marks phase him as he continues to produce in a variety of ways. In five games this past week he averaged 16.8 points per game, while going 22-30 from the free throw line. He also tallied 5.9 rebounds per game.
