Houston Raptors [Benjamin] who is ranked 4th on the Prep Hoops Circuit Grind Region 17U. Won the event and had solid play from 1st teamer Jordan Ivy-Curry click his name for more articles. They also had solid play from Kylon Bryant a 6’6 F class of 2019 who just recently picked up an NCAA D2 offer. 2020 Terry Anderson a 6’6 SF was really big for them in the Title Game as he poured in 20 points and pulled down 9 rebounds. He can knock down outside shots and has solid footwork and moves from the high post position.
RL9 [Willis] is a top independent team from the Greater Houston area who is sponsored by former NBA player Rashard Lewis. Has three prospect who really got it going and played consistently at the event. Ethan Yancy a 6’4 SG class of 2020 just received an offer from Bethel College (NAIA) in Kansas. He is a sharpshooter from behind the arc and plays above the rim at times. Add 2020 6’7 SF in Kenyon Holcombe who has splurged onto the scene this Spring/Summer and can hurt you inside and out. 6’8 PF Kingsley Ijeoma also the class of 2020 who is a force down low on both sides of the ball. A put-back king. Helped guide them to the Championship Game.
Texas Takeover Elite [Myron] was a team full of unsigned seniors and was led by James Harrison Jr a 6’0 PG who recently committed to Bethany College (NAIA) in Kansas. He was on the prowl and showcased his ability to score and facilitate. Controlled the game from start to finish. They also had strong defensive play by 5’10 PG Jalen Crawford who has committed to Our Lady of the Lakes University (NAIA) in Texas. He was a menace on the ball and giving opponents fits with his peskiness.
