Colleges that are looking for scoring guards for an uptempo offense or half court facilitating type guards can find both in this group.
Carolina Wolves 2020 Guard Chance Minott: Floor General that can give you a bucket when called upon, he’s not afraid of a challenge or any big time moment. Has good end to end speed and a quick first step, constantly has his head up and does a good job of making the correct play a good amount of the time.
Garner Road West 2020 Guard Dji Bailey: Wake Forest fans should be very excited about what they have coming in for the near future. Bailey is a guard with a high skillset that doesn’t allow himself to get rattled at all, he plays the game at his own pace and has a nice IQ for the game. We really like that he looks to get others involved often but he also has the ability to score the ball at a nice level when needed.
Team Carolina Elite 2020 Guard John Shutt: His team had a rough showing throughout the event but he was one of the bright spots as he scored the ball at a pretty nice level. Knocking down the midrange and deep ball wasn’t all he showed, we also got the chance to see him finish some pretty difficult plays in traffic over taller defenders.
Team Felton 2020 Guard Ricky Council IV: One of the hottest names that you will hear about in the state as he continues to climb the recruitment boards of many. He has the tools that you love to see in an SG prospect such as: Height, athleticism, scoring ability, length and confidence.
Garner Road West 2020 Guard Carson McCorkle: He’s the real deal if you didn’t know already and UVA fans should be looking forward to him having a nice career for the Cavs. A gifted player that can put the ball in the bucket but understands what winning basketball is. When you take a look at his overall high school win/loss record with GDS & Groad, you have to be impressed.
Groad Thornton 2020 Guard Jayden Beloti: You have to really like what he can bring to a team as he is a player that brings the energy on both ends of the floor. About 6’4 with a good wingspan, he got after it on the defensive end of the floor and finished inside and out on the offensive end, solid overall prospect.
