Nick Green – St. David’s – 2021
Nick Green is a 6-foot-3 guard that will make you pay for leaving him open behind the arc. He’s got nice size at the guard position and had his 3-point shot on full display during the Henderson Invitational. He got hot in a hurry during the showcase and didn’t hesitate to show why he was on the floor.
Kamron Somerville – Henderson Collegiate – 2021
Kameron Somerville is a point guard prospect that can lock up on defense and knock it down from 3 as well. He showed off his strength during the Henderson Invitational with a number of forced turnovers. On the offensive end, he found ways to get open and knock down 3s whether off the catch or off the dribble.
Xavier Jones – Bunn – 2021
Xavier Jones is a very raw big man prospect but he’s got potential with his size at 6-foot-8. He needs to learn to play big on both ends and use his length to his advantage. He’s got athleticism and when he’s going, finishes above the rim and with power.
Trey Worner – Henderson Collegiate – 2021
Trey Worner is a newcomer to the Henderson Collegiate ranks. Look for him to play a role in their rotation next season with his strength, quickness and sneaky bounce at 6-foot-1. He had a breakaway dunk that made some noise during the showcase. He’s a high energy guy with potential.
Zy’Shawn Appling – Vance County – 2021
Zy’Shawn Appling is an emerging big man prospect that showcased his ability to stretch the floor and get tough rebounds in crowds. Appling is a 6-foot-6 player that can play the post and on the perimeter, getting to the rim when necessary. As he learns to play within the flow of the offense, he’s a player whose presence should grow on the floor.
Eric Walston – Home School – 2020
Eric Walston is currently home-schooled but on the AAU circuit, he runs with Team Carolina Elite. He stood out with hustle plays like getting offensive rebounds and turning them into 3-pointers at the Henderson Invitational. He’s got nice size on the wing at 6-foot-5. When the ball touched his hands, good things happened.
Jashea Hart – Henderson Collegiate – 2021
Jashea Hart is a 6-foot-5 big man that’s finding his way in the paint. He stood out with his ability to seal the post and get tough lay-ins. Hart spent most his time on JV last season but as he learns to use his size down low and get rebounds like he did at the showcase, he’ll emerge as a factor for Henderson Collegiate next season.
