Here are more of the rising senior standouts:
Luis Riascos PG 6’4 180 San Gabriel Academy (Team Veritas Intl 17)
-Downhill PG. In and out handle is tough to stop. Smart off of pick and rolls. Not an elite burst but uses his handle, hesitation and height to get in the lane and score it. He is very crafty and uses left hand well plus is sneaky athletic to throw it down in traffic.
Amar Brown PF 6’7 260 Veritas Prep (Team Veritas Intl 17)
Great touch around the rim with long arms, strong hands and a thick body. Rebounds anything near him. Makes shots with left or right hand. He isn’t an above the rim type but skilled and plays smart throughout a game. He knows who he is. He holds his ground in the paint and is very hard to move.
DJ Davis CG 6’0 155 Centennial HS (Compton Magic Premier 17)
-Straight buckets. Very quick burst and unlimited shooting range. He also sometimes becomes a volume shooter but he can pull-up off the dribble from mid-range. Quick ball handler and on-ball defender, but he’s coming into a college and firing away.
Atin Wright PG 5’10” 160 Fairmont Prep (Dream Vision 17)
-Quick, strong and fast scoring lead guard. Consistent 3pt shooter and can turn the corner on his defender. Can create own offense and set the table for his teammates. He usually looks for his offense first.
Isaac Padilla SG 6’3 170 Veritas Prep (about to transfer from Liberty Ranch HS in Sacramento) (Team Veritas Intl 17)
-Very quick lefty scoring guard. Quick on the ball defensively and is very active using his speed, length and instincts. Has a nice euro game and can make deep shots. Can create his own offense.
Justin Gladney PG 6’0 170 Fairfax HS (LA Elite Bryson 17)
-Pure PG who loves to get downhill. Can make a pull-up in traffic off the dribble and a capable 3pt shooter off the catch. Physical defender and rebounder plus makes others better on the regular.
