Some top end teams joined the circuit this week leading to top players.
Here are some more of the top rising seniors at the event:
Brase Dottin SG 6’5 Harvard Westlake HS (BTI Elite 2020)
-Catch and shoot 3pt specialist primarily but can also pull-up and hit from mid-range off the dribble. Moves without the ball well and knows when to cut for a layup opportunity. He has a floater game with good length to defend. Once he is hot, he is hard to contain. He led his team to the Finals with 31 points in the semi-finals. (Pictured on cover)
Colby Brooks SF 6’5 Loyola HS (BTI Elite 2020)
-Thick forward lefty who is a capable deep ball shooter. He has a nice floater to use with a strong frame/body. Rebounds anything near him and plays super hard. Can rip through and score it through contact.
Jake Hlywiak SG 6’4 Valencia HS (Los Angeles Elite Hollingsworth 17U)
-Catch and shoot gunner. Has a quick release and good form. Not overly athletic or explosive but good size, smart and knows how to play the game.
David Cheathom SF 6’4 University HS (YouBall 17U)
-Mid-range shooter with great length and long strides to finish in traffic with his left or right hand. One of the tougher players viewed is a good scorer in the paint. One of those players you love to have and hate playing against.
Jordan Shelley SG 6’3 Providence HS (YouBall 17U)
-He can pull-up off dribble and is a good passer. He uses a nice hesitation move to get into lane. He can step back on defender and hit from mid-range. He can become more consistent with his deep ball but is very competitive.
Jabari Walker PF 6’8 Campbell Hall HS (Dream Vision Next)
-Son of Samaki Walker moves well in space. He is a little raw at this stage of his life and needs to get stronger but has good length, size and upside. Rebounds well in area and can finish off a left or right hand layup or dunk it. Has a good looking shooting stroke from the FT line.
Justin Gladney PG 6’0 Fairfax HS (LA Elite Bryson 17U)
-Bouncy lead guard who has a good frame/build/length and can get downhill quickly. Good court vision and seems to be a step faster than everyone on the court. Good on the ball defensively and a consistent perimeter shooter. Changes speeds smartly to get defense off balance and an aggressive rebounder plus will dive on the floor for a loose ball. One of the sleepers at the event.
