STOCK WATCH: Forwards on the Rise (2020)

<p>With the grassroots circuit about to heat up this spring, Prep Hoops Kansas takes a look at several forwards poised for a breakout offseason.</p> <p>Here we take a look at forwards in the 2020 class we expect to turn heads and raise their recruiting profile with a strong offseason.</p> <p><b>Ty Bowman, 6’5, F, 2020, Chanute<br /> </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Also a football standout, Bowman is running this summer with Victory out of the Joplin area. He is a strong, physical athlete who runs the floor exceptionally well, rebounds, defends and is a terrific passer. He has shown the ability to pass, find the open man and get on the boards.</span></p> <p><b>Chandler Marks, 6’5, F, 2020, Manhattan </b><i><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /> </span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Chandler was very active on defense, contesting any shot in his area on Saturday. He recovered quickly from a missed shot with a chasedown block and also used his motor to help his team on the boards.</span></p> <p><b>King Sutton, 6’4, F, 2020, Topeka, SSA Elite Black </b><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Sutton is an ultra athletic forward who brings a hard work attitude to the court and a willingness to compete in the paint. He is a terrific athlete who can play above the rim at both ends of the floor and often surprises opponents with his shot blocking. Offensively he does a lot of his work in the paint, but can also take advantages against mismatched slower players on the perimeter as he can handle it a little and beat others bigs off the bounce.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Reece Williams, 6’7, F, Leavenworth</strong><br /> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">A skilled big man is a terrific high post game. He is a fine passer who looks to distribute and can make a defense guess. He can also put the ball on the floor and make something happen for himself.
