Those programs include Mater Dei High School (CA), Bishop Gorman High School (NV), and Georgia’s own Norcross High School. For now, those are the three out of state programs who are expected to make that trip to Oregon.
For those of you who do not know, the LSI has been one of the best high school basketball tournaments nationally for a few years now. They have bought a plethora of elite talent through the tournament over the years and the field for next season should be a good one once again. Alumni of players include Kevin Love, Jaylen Brown, Marvin Bagley III, Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant, Markelle Fultz, Terrence Ross, and others.
The Norcross Blue Devils will be making their way out there next season and their star 2020 W Brandon Boston Jr. is certainly the main reason. Boston Jr. is a top-10 prospect in the 2020 class. He holds offers from a bunch of high major programs like Kansas, Duke, UCLA, Kentucky, Alabama, Florida State, and others. The 6-foot-7 shooting guard/wing has had a stock rising high school all year during his junior campaign and will look to continue to rise throughout the AAU season.
The Blue Devils finished the 2018-2019 season with a 22-9 overall record and making it all the way to Georgia’s class 7A final four game where they eventually lost to McEachern, the current class 7A state champions. They do lose a few key pieces from this year’s squad like 2019 PG Kyle Sturdivant who has commited to USC, but they return 2020 G Caleb Murphy, 2020 SG Kevon Eskridge, and 2021 PG Jaden Harris for next year.
