I thought it would be fun to go over some possibilities before the Live-Period.
Most Likely to get their first High Major offer
2021 PG Ty Ty Washington (Chavez/Vegas Elite 16U)-Washington is on a big stage and has the game to back up the high offer.
2020 PG Evan Nelson (Salpointe Catholic/PHH 17 Rise)-Nelson has been special early on in the AAU season.
Most Likely Players to Get Their First D1 Offers
2020 CG Brandyn Talbot (Bella Vista/Grassroots Canada)-Scorer with high feel for game.
2020 SG Dominic Gonzalez (Ironwood/Factory)–Long shooter!!
2020 CG Trey Donaldson (Gilbert Christian/PHH Black)-Athletic scorer.
2020 PG Dayton Harris (Skyline/The Show)–Pure PG!
2020 SG Isaiah Floyd (Edupirze/Team Harden)-Uber athletic stock riser.
Most Likely Players to Rack Up Offers
2021 PF DaRon Holmes (Millennium/PHH 16U UAA)-Performs at a high level wherever he goes. Top-50 nationally.
2020 PG Dalen Terry (Hillcrest/Compton Magic)-Performs at a high level wherever he goes as well. Top-50 nationally.
Most Likely to Score the Most Points in a game this weekend
2021 PG Steven Cervantes (Mesa/AZ Legends 17U)-Been on a tear early on with scoring over 25+ ppg. (Pictured)
2021 SG Trenton McLaughlin (Basha/Basha Bears 17U)–One of the top shooters is comfortable with his HS/AAU team and I wouldn’t be surprised he scored 30+ in a couple games.
2021 PG Ricardo Sarmiento (Chavez/Oakland Soldiers 16U)–One of the better scoring lead guards can put up points quickly in games. He may have a huge game this weekend.
Most Likely to Dunk on Someone this Weekend
2020 SG Kyree Walker (Hillcrest/Dream Vision)-Walker is a beast and plays with a fire–Don’t be surprised we see a clip that he dunked on someone.
2020 PF Osasere Ighodaro (Desert Vista/PHH Rise)-Osa has been playing at a high level and has some serious bounce to dunk on opposing bigs.
2020 PF Juhlawnei Stone (Dobson/Prime Basketball)–Stone is a powerfully built athlete. He explodes quickly at the rim and just may catch a body this weekend.
Most Likely to to hear a new name rise up
2021 Wing Isaiah Broady (Chandler/Firestorm Smith 16U)–I met him, just never officially seen him play. People rave about him and he may spark up on the social media scene this weekend.
Most Likely to find out a player is better than advertised
2021 C Carson Basham (Sunnyslope/Team Arsenal 16U Rise–Basham had a decent HS season, not great, but we will most likely see him breakout in the AAU season.
Most Likely to Get Hot and take over a Game
2020 SG Xavier Dusell (Compass Prep/Team Harden)–Dusell gets hot in a blink of an eye. We will hear about him this weekend for sure.
2021 SF Colin Carey (Sunrise Mountain/Factory 16U)–Not sure there is a hotter player in the state right now. Seems to go on stretches where he can’t miss.
Most Likely will play this weekend then go straight to a D1
2019 PG D’Maurian Williams (Westview/Factory)–It is crazy he is still available. He has a great HS season and has looked great early on.
2019 PF Ajang Aguek (Ironwood/Team Harden)–Active forward has one of the best motors you will ever see. Skill level is slowly catching his athleticism.
Teams With the Most to Prove
Powerhouse Hoops 16U UAA Circuit. As talented as this team is–they never played on this level yet. Most of the team has D1 offers but need to work together to play versus other high ranked D1 players on the always tough circuit.
Team Harden 17U Adidas Gold Gauntlet. Another loaded team with many D1 players need to play consistently in every game on a tough circuit.
