A lot of interesting topics and plots will go on at the Macon Coliseum this week. Let's take a look at all 4 of the state championship games today. We will take a look at the higher classifications in Part 2 tomorrow.

1A PRIVATE

WEDNESDAY 4PM

ST.FRANCIS 27-4 VS ELCA 22-8

St.Francis top players

Dwon Odom (Xavier commit)

Seth Hubbard

Chase Ellis

ELCA top players

Trevor Reddish

Kamari Smith

Kelvin Jones

Jordan Smalls

These are the top 2 teams in 1A private. St.Francis is led by Xavier commit, Dwon Odom. ELCA is led by Trevor Reddish. Both of these teams kind of breezed through their semifinal matchups. At the end of the day, St.Francis will cut down the nets. PREDICTION: St.Francis 56 ELCA 48

1A PUBLIC

WEDNESDAY 8PM

CALHOUN CO 31-0 VS TREUTLEN 30-1

Top players

Bryan Smith Calhoun Co

Tykevious Curry Calhoun Co

Arkavias Lovett Treutlen

This game will feature two 30 win teams. Combined, both teams are 60-1. Perhaps the highest win total of 2 state championship finalist ever. Calhoun Co had to come from behind against defending state champion Wilkinson Co in double OT. Treutlen, fought off a scrappy Irwin Co squad. Both of these expected to be here at the beginning of the season. Im going with the number 1 seed again. PREDICTIONS: Calhoun Co 87 Treutlen 76

2A

THURSDAY 4PM

THERRELL 25-7 VS VIDALIA 27-4

Top players Robbie Armbester (Therrell) Xavier McClendon (Vidalia)

Cam Fortson(Therrell) Antrell Williams (Vidalia)

Ra'sean Frederick (Therrell) Jonathan Moody (Vidalia)

Vidalia and Therrell, play in the two toughest regions in AA (2 and 6). Vidalia defeated powerhouse South Atlanta and Laney to get to the finals. Therrell defeated NE Macon and Elbert Co. to get to Macon. These 2 teams play like the old running rebels. Vidalia, is one of the top defense teams in the state.. The 2A title is headed down I-16.

PREDICTION: VIDALIA 55 THERRELL 52

3A

THURSDAY 8PM

MORGAN CO 29-2 VS HART CO 24-7

TOP PLAYERS

MORGAN CO Alec Woddard, Tyrin Lawrence, Stevie Green

HART CO Rex McCord, Jordan Langston, Shone Webb

This will be the 3rd time these two teams have played this season. Both teams hail from Region 8. Morgan Co won both contest during the regular season. On January 15, they won 70-53.January 26, the won by 11. Hart Co, won two games on the road before defeating Savannah power Johnson. Last week, they knocked off one of the favorites in 3A, Dawson Co. Morgan Co won the state title in 2014 and 2016. This will be there 5th appearance in the last 6 years in the state championship game. What will the bulldogs of Hart Co do to beat their region rival? Is the 3rd time a charm? I think Morgan Co, with the trio of stud seniors on their roster, will bring the trophy back to Northeast Georgia.

PREDICTION: Morgan Co 69 Hart Co 63
