Player of the Week: Week 10
With the season winding down, the vote totals keep going up in our Player of the Week polls. PRP Senior Darius Osborne won last week’s vote with 48,376 votes. Here are this week’s nominees:
- Beechwood’s Scotty Draud – The Sophomore led the Tigers to a 2-1 week with the lone loss in OT. He scored 23 points in a win over Grant County. Had a career high 38 points in an OT loss at Conner then scored 16 points including the game winning three to beat Covington Catholic and secure Beechwood’s first ever regular season district title.
- Model’s Adam Lewis – Led Model to a 4-0 week with 30 points, 2 assists and 3 rebounds against Western Hills, 29 points, 3 assists and 6 rebounds against Rockcastle County, 20 points, 2 assists and 3 rebounds against Whitefield Academy and 18 points, 4 assists and 3 steals against Owen County.
- Johnson Central’s Cory Vanhoose – Helped Johnson Central to a 2-1 week with 11 points and 8 rebounds against Sheldon Clark, 23 points and 12 rebounds in a win over Paintsville and 12 points and 4 rebounds in the loss to Clay County
- Oldham County’s Matthew Teague – The Senior had 16 points, 8 assists and 4 steals in a loss at Waggener Tuesday then followed that up with 17 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds in an OT win against Simon Kenton.
- Silver Grove’s Spencer Macke – The Senior led the Big Trains to a 2-2 week. He had 28 points and 17 rebounds in a loss to Ludlow, 58 points and 25 rebounds in a win over Heritage Academy, 27 points and 10 rebounds in a loss to Bellevue and 52 points and 17 rebounds in a win over Big Bone Baptist (home school).
- Wayne County’s Thomas Spencer – Led the Cardinals to a 3-0 week with 31 points and 3 rebounds against Casey County, 20 points and 12 rebounds against McCreary Central and 19 points and 10 rebounds against Cordia.
