Dayton’s Mid Season Stock Risers

<p>As the season has progressed, several players have seen massive improvement. Some guys have seen their stock rise for the first time this year. Other guys will look familiar on this list. Here is a list of 5 of the top stock-risers this season.</p> <p>Jaden Dahm (2020)- Carroll<br /> Dahm has not been known to be a scorer thus far this season. Although he had a season high 17 points against a talented Purcell Marian team, the 6’5 forward has been more of a defensive menace for the Patriots, averaging nearly 2 blocks per game. His height gives him an advantage, but it also helps Dahm is such an athletic player. The lefty attacks the rim and isn’t afraid to play physical with opposing bigs.</p> <p>Will Emrick (2020)- Franklin<br /> Emrick is part of a 3-way offensive weapon that is the Franklin backcourt. One of the best sharpshooters in the SWBL, Will is shooting 41% from behind the arc and averaging 14 points per game. Although listed as a forward, Emrick has played more like a guard this season. I would like to see him be more of a force in the paint as he is a 6’4 lengthy forward.</p> <p>Twon Hines (2019)- Northridge<br /> This is not the first time I have mentioned Hines in one of my articles. However, this might be the time to finally pay attention to him. Averaging 21 points per game, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals per game, Twon has been the leader of a Northridge team that has been getting hot down the home stretch. Scoring double digits in every game he has played in, Hines has scored 20+ points in 11 games and 30+ points once this year. If he can show improvement in his 3-point shot, Hines could be an intriguing prospect.</p> <p>Manny Ellis (2020)- Brookville<br /> Willis has some serious bounce. The 6’4 forward can throw down and uses his incredible leaping ability to make a difference on both ends of the floor. Manny is not known for being a scorer, mainly because he plays for a team that sees most of their scoring in their backcourt. Instead, he cleans up the glass on the offensive end. With another year to continue developing, Willis has a chance of seeing his stock rise even more in the next year.</p> <p>Brevan King (2019)- Graham<br /> King started off the season looking like a potential CBC Player of the Year candidate. Although he has slowed down since the new year, he is still one of the most dynamic players and has seen a spike in his stock. Shooting 46% from beyond the arc, Brevan has been an offensive leader for a Falcons team looking to make a postseason run in Division II.</p>
