Cheraw HS 77 Calhoun County HS 72 (2 overtimes)
The Braves prevailed in this game after 2 overtimes and a fire drill before the 2nd overtime started. The Braves were led in scoring by Xavier Dixon with 18 points, Jonathan Gordon added 15 points and was a workhorse on the glass for the Braves. Xavier McIver a football player added 12 points in the win. Jalen Coit was held to just 6 points.
The Saints fall to (7-3) on the season. Jabarie Perry led the way for the Saints with 25 points and Ethan Tullock chipped in with 19 points. Head Coach Zam Fredrick is in his 29th year at Calhoun County HS.
Carolina Forest HS 68 Franklin County (GA) 34
The host Panthers had little problems with the visitors from Georgia in this game. The Panthers jumped out to a 32-15 halftime lead. Alex Greene led the way with 10 points, while Mason Garcia, Kyle Watkins and Mikah Nelson all added 9 points in the win.
John Handley HS (VA) 46 vs North Myrtle Beach HS 29
The Judges from Winchester, VA had little trouble with the Chiefs. The Judges cruised to a 25-10 halftime and never looked back.
Keenan HS 61 vs Conway HS 60
What a game here the defending back to back champions Conway HS Tigers fell in a heartbreaker. DeAunte Sherman connected on a three pointer with 5.3 seconds left to tie the game at 60-60. Keenan brought the ball up the floor and was fouled with 1,5 seconds left. The Raiders went the line and made 1 of 2 free throws to clinch the victory.
Dillon Jones led the Raiders with 18 points, Latrell Taylor 17 points and Raekwon Horton 11 points. Asanti Price added 9 points coming off the bench for the Raiders.
Sherman led the Conway HS Tigers in defeat with 16 points on 4 three pointers made and Tonka Hemingway added 15 points.
Myrtle Beach HS 73 vs East Hall HS (GA) 72
The Seahawks battled back in this game to pull out the victory. Emorie Knox led the charge with 25 points, TJ Austin 17 points, Da’Ron Finkley 12 points and James Marques 11 points.
Jayvion Rucker scored 20 points, Kylan Curry 18 points and TJ Campbell 11 points for East Hall HS in the loss. The Vikings fall to (7-4) on the year.
Covington HS (TN) 77 vs Carolina Forest HS 63
The host Panthers played 2 games today with the odd number of teams in the event. The Panthers won’t play on Friday but will play again 2 games on Saturday. Alex Greene led the charge with 20 points, Kyle Watkins 17 points, Mason Garcia 13 points and PJ Robinson chipped in with 10 points.
Travontae Powell led the Covington (TN) Chargers with 21 points while Tyjuan Smith added 20 points. The Chargers move to (11-1) on the season and play Myrtle Beach HS on Friday evening.
