Moore County Tourney Standouts: Pt.1
On Saturday we got the opportunity to stop in to a local event in Moore County, the tournament consisted of teams from elementary school, all the way to high school seniors. There was a lot of talent on the court throughout the day and a few names that college coaches should write down to keep on their watch list.
NLCA 2020 Wing Reggie Raynor: Showed his ability to be a versatile player, scored the ball off the dribble and made plays for others on the perimeter. Is a nice athlete that finishes offensively above the rim and blocks shots on the defensive end, just scratching the surface of how good he can be.
Carolina All-Stars 2020 Forward Desmond Evans: For such a young player he has a very mature body but he still has a raw game. He rebounds the ball very well, blocks shots and is fully capable of running the floor. He’s already being highly recruited for football so we won’t be surprised if that’s the route he decides to take.
Carolina All-Stars 2021 Guard Quashawn Williams: This youngster has potential written all over me, he seems to always be involved in a play no matter where is it on the court. He’s a quick guard that is difficult to stay in front of, and can score the ball well even in traffic.
NLCA 2021 Guard Jovon Harbin: Slowly but surely you can see him getting better and better, he’s playing with more confidence and you can tell that he’s putting in more time in the weight room. He still has the smooth jump shot that we saw from him this summer but he’s improving with his ball handling and ability to take contact.
Mars Elite 2018 Guard Jaide Huntley: The Porter Ridge guard has a very smooth game, he didn’t have his best day scoring the ball but you can see the potential in his game. He is a crafty finisher, has a soft touch, he can knock down shots at a decent rate.
