Prep Hoops takes a look at some recruiting news from around the Palmetto State this past week here in this article.
Jalen Cameron (2017) has signed with Cape Fear Community College (Wilmington, NC). Cameron ranked #16 in the the 2017 Top 125 here in the Palmetto State played his high school career at West Florence HS. Cameron averaged 17.5 ppg and 9.8 rebounds this past season for the 20-6 Knights. Cameron finished his high school career with 1,530 points. Cameron played AAU with Big Shots Elite Orange this spring.
Jalen White (2017) has committed to play at Highland Community College (Freeport, IL) for next season. White finished his career at Manning HS after starting off at nearby Lakewood HS. White averaged 13.5 ppg for the Monarchs this season. Highland Community College played last season in the NJCAA National Tourney in Hutchinson, KS. Freeport, IL is located west of Chicago about 2 hours near the Wisconsin border.
White played AAU with the Manning Gators this past spring.
Rico Williams and Deshundre Rucker both teammates at Eastside HS in Greenville will remain teammates next fall. The duo will play at newly formed Franklin Program Prep based out of Clemson, SC. The program will be coached and operated by Franklin Mattison.
Rucker played AAU with the Upstate Warriors this spring. Williams and Rucker both were ranked in the Prep Hoops Top 125 this past season in the Palmetto State.
Tawon Buie and Sa’Quel Pepper will both take the post graduate route this coming fall. Buie a point guard from Charleston Math & Science will attend Franklin Program Prep according to his twitter page. Buie averaged 17.9 ppg this past season. Buie played AAU with the Port City Stars 17U this past spring.
Pepper will join Buie at Franklin Program Prep this fall. Pepper a very athletic guard attended Orangeburg-Wilkinson HS. Pepper played this spring with the Manning Gators AAU.
Raymond Williams (2018) looks to be headed to Legacy Charter (Greenville) this coming fall. Williams is transferring in from nearby Berea HS. Williams plays with Team South Carolina on the AAU circuit.
