Garner Road 2020 Big Men
Garner Road produces high-level college basketball players year in and year out. Dwayne West and Chris Myatt get it done. They use their Garner Road Basketball Club for countless hours of training, skill work and practice.
The 15 and under team has two big men that are soon going to be on the radars of every college basketball program in the country. The Chris Myatt coached 15U team have only loss three games this spring, to Indiana Elite, Atlanta Celtics and
Team Durant.
Day’Ron Sharpe (6’9 C)-Sharpe is going to end up being one of the top-50 national recruits in the country for for the 2020 class. Chris Myatt had this to say about his post player, “Day’Ron is a skilled 4 with the potential of being a skilled wing down the road. Starting to realize his place on the national level.” He has great timing on blocking shots and plays hard on both ends. He shows the ability to step out and knock down the 15-foot jumper.
Mekhi Townes (6’6, C)-Townes is on track to be a national prospect as well for the 2020 class. “Mehki has next level footwork in the post that makes him hard to guard along with his big body. He has a soft touch and a nice jump shot. At some point he will have to transition to playing the wing,” said Myatt. He is a big bodied bruiser who can handle the ball in transition. Good at scoring in the post.
