Here is a look at the Carolina Wolves travel team roster and a breakdown of their roster and evaluation on players.
#0 – Jahlen King 6’1 PG, Page High, Greensboro, NC. Avg 18ppg/5apg. 3.0GPA
Jahlen is a bully on both ends of the court. He uses his great frame to move others out of his way and to protect the ball. He has great vision and makes great decisions. His greatest strengths are his competitiveness and his high basketball IQ. He won Conference Player of the Year as a Junior and will build on that this summer.
Evaluation: Jahlen projects as a Low to Mid Major PG.

#4 – Jaylen Alston 6’4 SG, Eastern Guilford High, Greensboro, NC. Avg 23ppg/10rpg/5apg. 3.9GPA
Jaylen is a winner! He led his team to the State Championship game this year and scored 27 points in a 4 point loss. He’s a high level athlete and defender. His ability to finish at the rim is impressive. He’s a streaky shooter, but his high basketball IQ makes up for it when the shot isn’t falling.
Evaluation: Jaylen is a mid major guard with high major athleticism.
#5 Malcolm Wade 6’0 PG, United Faith Christian, Charlotte, NC. Avg 18ppg/6apg. 3.2GPA
Malcolm is a floor general with great vision, a strong handle and an automatic midrange jumper. Malcolm plays solid defense and is a highly competitive athlete. He belongs in an uptempo offense with a press defense.
Evaluation: Malcolm is a low major PG.
#11 – Taji Moore 6’0 PG, Kinston High, Kinston, NC. Avg 10ppg/6apg/3spg. 3.9GPA
Taji is a true leader. He’s the glue guy on any team who is vocal and isn’t afraid to hold others accountable. He truly enjoys getting an assist over scoring, and plays defense for 94 feet every second of every game. He has a strong jump shot, and recently won best passer and best leader at the Phenom 150 camp.
Evaluation: Taji is a high D2 to Low Major PG.
#15 – Bryson Price 6’8 F, Draughn High, Morganton, NC. Avg 16ppg/9rpg. 3.6GPA
Bryson is a true stretch 4. He has a consistent jumper with a beautiful stroke. He also has the big body you want in your PF to bang down low. He has an incredibly high basketball IQ and always makes the right play. Bryson is working on his athleticism and once that is where it needs to be he’ll project much higher.
Evaluation: Bryson projects as a high D2 to Low Major D1 PF.
#22 – Nate Springs 6’10 F, Myers Park High, Charlotte, NC. Avg 12ppg/8rpg/3bpg. 3.4GPA
Nate is a special player. He’s a true 6’10 with a 7’5 wingspan. He can shoot all the way out to the 3 point line even with a hand in his face. He’s extremely athletic and gets off the ground quickly. He’s working on adding weight (up to 185), and once he does he’ll be on the radar of some high major programs.
Evaluation: Nate projects as a mid to high major stretch 4.
#23 – Jamarius “Mari” Hairston 6’4 SG/SF, Carson High, China Grove, NC. Avg 23 ppg/10rpg. 3.8GPA
Mari is an amazing athlete. He boasts an impressive vertical and uses it for great lift and separation on mid-range jump shots. He’s nearly automatic inside the 3 point line. Mari is a bit of a tweener on the wing while he continues to work on his ball handling. However, if he can get to his right hand his first step is very quick and he typically gets to the basket or to the foul line (where he’s shooting 90%).
Evaluation: Mari projects as a D2 to Low Major D1 prospect right now, with the ceiling to land him at a Mid Major.
#24 – Greyson Collins 6’0 CG, Caldwell Academy, Greensboro, NC. Avg 28ppg/6apg. 3.8GPA
Greyson can flat out score! He’s averaging 25 ppg this high school season. He does it at all 3 levels and against good competition. If he makes his first 3 you can guarantee he’s going to hit several more. I list Greyson as a combo guard because he has the ability to handle the ball and run the offense, but you want him playing off the ball and looking to score. Greyson also gets after it on defense. He may struggle guarding much larger guards, but his quickness and toughness isn’t questioned.
Evaluation: Greyson projects as a Low Major to Mid Major.
