Boiling Springs High School guard Zach Baldinelli is running with the Upward Stars Upstate 16u Premier team this travel season. Zach had a great showing at The Justin Byerly WNC/Upstate Showcase a week ago.
He will be playing with an Upward Stars Upstate 16u team that will be a good fit for Baldinelli. “I’m close with everyone on the team. We all are like family, but I’ve been playing with Trey Smith since we were 10 years old so him and I have a special relationship on and off the court. Also Kamal Desor & Ta’Lon Cooper is two close friends of mine.”
Zach has put on some muscle since the last time I saw him and looks to weigh 10-15 pounds heavier. ” “This summer the biggest focus for me is to get bigger. I’ve been working hard on putting on mass to my frame and I’ll continue to do that throughout the summer. “With that being said I’m still going to work hard to get better at all aspects of my game,” Baldinelli said.
The rising junior is starting to get some interest from Wofford College and Newberry University. He is still getting some mail and love from Oregon State, Upstate, Lander, St. Andrews, Etc.
Last season was a little tough for Boiling Springs as they finished 9-13 overall on the season. Baldinelli knows that a lot of hard-work will take this summer and has some goals set for next season. “The ultimate goal is a State Championship. That’s something I and my team really want to accomplish. My team and I are going to work non-stop to achieve that!”
