As we know the whole purpose of summer basketball is scholarship and just recently the CP3 squad has had multiple players to commit to their school of choice. So who are these young men, and where are they going?
Blake Harris 2017 Guard: (University of Washington) Blake is a guard that has a pass first mentality, mixed in with some flair to his game, he is a gifted passer along with the ability to score the ball. Blake is a player that joined CP3 later in the season but his ability to fit in with the squad was very impressive
Lavar Batts 2017 Point Guard: (VCU) Lavar has the end to end speed on the court that will make fans at VCU smile quite a bit over the next 4 years, combine that with: a long wingspan, athleticism, and the height at 6’4 and you have an ESPN Top 100 player. With the style of play that VCU like to play we feel Lavar is going to be the perfect PG for them and will truly excel.
JP Moorman 2017 Forward: (Temple) JP may be the player from this organization that has improved the most over the past two years, he shed some weight and turned it into muscle while continuing to improve on his game overall. He has the ability to bang inside as well as step out on the wing and make plays on both end of the floor, we feel once again that this is a great fit for him to grow and he can be a special player at Temple.
Mike Hueitt Jr. 2017 Guard: (ODU) Most of you know by now about this young man, he is one of the best shooters in the country without a doubt and will make teams think twice about playing a zone. We love the fit for Hueitt in this league, he can truly be an All-Conference type of guy if he remains focused and works hard.
