Recruiting Report: Noah Locke (2018)

<span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Noah Locke</strong>, a class of 2018 guard who is running on the AAU circuit with <em>Team Melo</em>, is making a name for himself alongside the most productive guards in his class. The talented scorer out of <em>McDonogh High School</em> in <em>Owings Mills, Maryland</em>, is a prolific shooter who excels at creating space off the bounce. The rising junior is following up a solid high school campaign with some exceptional play during grassroots season.</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">While playing up with </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Team Melo 17U </span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">at the </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Hoop Group Southern Jam Fest</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">, Locke demonstrated his scoring prowess from a variety of areas vs.</span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Boo Williams EYBL</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">. He describes himself as a versatile offensive threat.</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">“I’m a scoring guard,” Locke began. “I can shoot really well. I can get my shot off the dribble, off the catch. That’s pretty much how I score.”</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">An underrated athlete, Locke is a solid rebounder who is capable of finishing above the rim in transition. He may not be the biggest guard, but he can certainly elevate when he needs to.</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">“A lot of people they think I’m not athletic, but I can get up a little bit,” he stated.</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Locke continues to perfect his craft each day by dedicating long hours in the gym. He’s working on improving his ball-handling and defense, but is not just limiting himself to those two areas.</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">“You know, I’m just working on everything, basically,” he began. “Just getting better overall."</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Claiming 5 offers already from </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Cincinnati, Tulsa, GW, USC, </span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">and </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">UNCG</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">, it won’t be long before more division 1 programs become involved in Locke’s recruitment. </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Syracuse</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> has expressed recent interest in the services of the gifted scoring guard.
