This offseason the versatile 2018 is playing with King James Ohio Varsity and is confident that he could pick up some serious interest by summer’s end.
“I’ve been talking to a lot of colleges lately. I think I’ll at least get one offer by the end of the summer, and during high school season hopefully I get a couple more,” said Elmore. “ And then really get some more during my senior year.”’
Traditionally a post player, the 6-foot-4 prospect has been working lately to develop his perimeter game.
“I’ve been working a lot and really trying to develop into a three,” he said. “And my high school coach has been working out with me, and we go through a lot of game situations.”
Elmore cites his strengths as having good basketball savvy, and being able to see the floor well.
“I think I get into good position and have a high basketball IQ. I can make plays off the dribble and I rebound good. I can also get my teammates open and get them plays,” said Elmore.
“I need to work on exploiting mismatches better. And then my ball-handling, I’ll need to work on that.”
After starting the last half of his sophomore season with the Tigers, his role for King James Ohio Varsity is a little but different.
“My job is to just bring a lot of energy,” said Elmore. “And to be more of a leader on the court.”
