Woody Newton | 2020 | DC Premier 14U
Woody Newton stole the show in the early stages by using his length and high activity level to contest a number of shots. He recored 25 points, 14 rebounds, and 3 blocks in the a hard fought win vs. Team Takeover Orange. Perhaps what was most impressive about his play today was his confident and smooth touch from the perimeter.
Delonnie Hunt | 2020 | DC Premier 14U
Delonnie Hunt set the tone on both ends, but it all started with his defense. The quick guard was super active and anticipated well, which made him a solid defender. His never-say-die attitude naturally translated to his offense, where the smooth lefty made big time shots for his team.
Chase Davis | 2020 | Team Takeover Orange 14U
Chase Davis got off to a good start with a 20-point, 9-rebound, 3-steal effort despite a tough loss vs. DC Premier. He demonstrated the ability to hit from beyond the arc, by netting 4 of his 5 three point attempts in that contest. The long-limbed guard also did a nice job getting into the paint and drawing contact.
Josiah Hardy | 2020 | Team Takeover Orange 14U
Josiah Hardy mixed it up nicely on the offensive end. The lanky wing exhibited a crafty handle, owning a solid arsenal of moves off the bounce. He has a soft touch around the rim as a result of his length.
Earl Timberlake | 2020 | Team Takeover Black 14U
Earl Timberlake did a little bit of everything, making consistent impact on both ends throughout the day. He’s a solid rim protector who displays excellent timing when contesting shots. The lefty is also a strong finisher around the rim who showcased very good body control.
Jeremy Roach | 2020 | Team Takeover Black 14U
Jeremy Roach was a steady and reliable playmaker at the lead guard spot, as he dished out 7 assists in a convincing win vs. DC Blue Devils 15U. His shot selection was commendable, as he went 6 of 8 from the field on his way to 13 points.
Jaylen Willis | 2019 | Team Melo 15U
Jaylen Willis‘ impact on both ends was well-noted. It all started defensively, where the physical guard consistently harassed opposing-ball handlers on the perimeter. He’s a very unselfish player who has a great feel to go along with a nice offensive skill set.
Marvin Price | 2019 | DC Blue Devils 15U
Marvin Price has a broad and strong frame to go along with impressive athleticism and a high motor. The 6-foot-4 guard played above the rim and was an effective rebounder out of his area. He excelled in transition, where he converted some magnificent finishes.
Jay Heath | 2019 | Team Durant 15U
Perhaps the top overall performer of the day, Jay Heath was simply exceptional on both ends of the court. His activity level and reactions were praiseworthy defensively, where he was very alert on and off the ball. He showed a deep offensive arsenal, which in conjunction with his high confidence level made him a difficult matchup.
Casey Morsell | 2019 | Team Takeover Black 15U
Casey Morsell is a long, well-built guard with a great work rate and solid defensive instincts. He did a nice job mixing it up offensively, and was poised and efficient off the bounce.
Hunter Auch | 2019 | Team Takeover Orange 15U
Hunter Auch scored a game-high 18 points and 3 steals in a win vs. New World. He shot 3 of 4 from long range, but also showed the ability to finish around the rim through contact and find open teammates.
Domenick Bailey | 2019 | Team Takeover Orange 15U
Domenick Bailey made an impact in a variety of categories in a win vs. Maryland’s Finest, as he recorded 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals. The smooth guard shot 4 of 6 from the field, including 1/1 from three. He was consistently active and displayed good athleticism in the open court.
Jarrett Hunter | 2020 | Virginia Elite 15U
Jarrett Hunter is a fearless guard played a mature brand of ball, showing off a confident touch from mid range and good paint getting ability. He was active and alert defensively, using his quickness and solid anticipation to his advantage.
Barly Kanu | 2019 | New World 15U
Barly Kanu exhibits the traits of a natural-born leader. He is very vocal, communicates to his teammates and isn’t afraid to take a charge. He’s also a sneaky, bouncy athlete with a crafty handle and a great motor.
Ethan Lynch | 2019 | New World 15U
Ethan Lynch is a well-built guard who showed that he’s tough as nails and is willing to compete and do the dirty work. He defended with tenacity on the perimeter, showed good body control in the paint and strength when finishing through contact.
