A versatile offensive performer, Jeff has responded with an excellent season in which he is getting buckets from most anywhere on the court. He is currently averaging 18 points a game while shooting 46 percent from the field and 36 percent from 3-point range.
Jeff is still looking for his first collegiate offer, but he has received interest from schools such as Maryville, UMSL, Utah Valley State, Mercer, Sam Houston and a variety of junior colleges.
“I feel like I had to prove a lot because I didn’t finish the summer strong and get myself out there,” Jeff said. “So, coming off this injury, I had a lot to prove times two. Instead of my injury being a negative, I made into a positive by coming back stronger and better.”
Jeff appears to have no ill-effects from the knee injury that sidelined him during the summer. An explosive athlete, Jeff has been on the business end of many alley-oop dunks during the season. He attacks the basket aggressively on the dribble and he balances his offensive game with an excellent mid-range jumper. When you toss in his 36 percent shooting from 3-point range, you have a young man who excels at all three levels.
“The strengths of my game would be my shooting ability, athleticism and my defense,” Jeff said.
Jeff has definitely raised his stock with his play during his senior year, but he is taking nothing for granted. He still has the attitude and hunger of a young player trying to make his mark.
“I’m never happy with my game and I feel like I have so much to work on and so much more to learn,” Jeff said. “So, I will put in the work even when I get to where I want to be. I feel like my whole game needs to improve all around.”
