In our first edition of the Prep Hoops Missouri 12-Pack, here is a look at a dozen of state’s top smaller guards.
Diego Bernard 5’9″ (2018) St. Joe Lafayette: Talented sophomore guard who is averaging 11 points and five assists a game for one of the top Class 4 teams in the state.
Malcolm Coleman 5’5″ (2016) Hazelwood West: Potent offensive player with a strong body. Can finish on the drive and shoot the jumper. Currently averaging 17 points a game.
Damien Daniels 5’7″ (2018): Hogan Prep: One of the top little guys in the KC area. Quick on quick guard who averages 12.6 points and four assists a game.
Kaden Evans 5’9″ (2018) Oak Park: Small guard who can really light it up from 3-point distance.
D.J. Henderson 5’5″ (2016) North Tech: Point guard who can run the show and get buckets when it is needed. Averaging nine points, three assists and three steals a game.
Robyion Hughes 5’8″ (2017) Ritenour: High energy point guard who fuels the Huskies’ high-scoring offensive attack. Averaging 14 points, nearly seven assists and two steals a game.
Charles James 5’7″ (2016) Northwest Academy: Super-quick guard who can get in the lane at any time with his slick handles. Currently averaging 16.6 points a game.
Berlin Roberson 5’7″ (2017): McCluer South-Berkeley: Nice penetrating guard who can knock down 3-pointers as well. Averaging 17 points with 44 made 3-pointers.
Chase Thomas 5’9″ (2017): Columbia Hickman: Excellent point guard who can also score the basketball. Averaging nearly 15 points a game. Good 3-point shooter.
Ryan Warren-Hogue 5’7″ (2017): McCluer: Can electrify people with his quickness and ball-handling ability. Can shoot the 3-pointer and get in the lane. Averages 15 points a game.
Destan Williams 5’8″ (2017) Pattonville: Smooth guard who can really pass the ball and score at all three levels. Averaging 16 points, six assists and three steals.
Javarcus Word 5’5 (2017) New Madrid County: Helped lead Eagles to the Final Four of Class 3 Tournament as a sophomore. Took over leadership of team this season. Currently averaging 17 points and three assists a game.
