The LSU commit came out and made a few big three pointers in the first half to put Ellender away early. Cedric looks like he may have grown an inch or so as well. Cedric (spider-man) Russell made the home fans proud with two wins Saturday.
Quentin Scott
The most surprising prospect of the day was Quentin Scott. He showed perimeter skills that translate into him being a 4/3 type player in college. He can handle it, shoot it and has exceptional athletic ability. He must continue to progress in all areas of his game to be more of a game changer though.
Javante Washington
The shot blocking big man helped his team to one point victory over Opelousas after losing the first game to Peabody. Although still very raw, Javante has the frame, ability and potential you want in a low to mid major level post player. With increased playing he should grow into a good college basketball player.
JaCoby Ross
JaCoby did what he does and that's knock down three pointer after three pointer. JaCoby is continuing to gain interest in colleges every month. If he proves he can play the point at the next level he will be a Division I level player. He must also become a better on ball defender as well.
Tae Martin
Tae showed his ability Saturday but not much more. The ball just didn't seem to be bouncing his way. He got to the basket at will and his shoot looked good going up. With increased strength the sky is the limit.
Kevin Norman
Kevin Norman was very impressive against St. Martinville, hitting numerous jump shots and catching alley oops. Kevin's college position is yet to be determined and with a big football season his sport of choice hasn't been made either. Look for a decision to be made after the upcoming grassroots season.
