He has good range on his jumper and can consistently knock down shots, he’s also a solid ball-handler, although he needs to work on his foot speed and quickness. He’s a good athlete as well and a very good rebounder. He has struggled at times to assert himself, but after a strong summer with the Louisville Magic it’s expected he’ll have a breakout junior season.
Currently Eastern Kentucky, Lipscomb and Southern Indiana are all recruiting him at the moment. However, he doesn’t hold any offers at the moment and has yet to set up any visits, although he plans to do so in the near future. Caleb is looking for a school that’s somewhat close to home and he wants to fit into their culture athletically and academically.
Caleb calls himself versatile and says that’s his biggest strength as it poses problems for defenders who can’t’ guard him in the wing and in the post. He’s working on his ball-handling and wants to improve his post moves as well to add to his versatility and strengths.
Eastern has a ton of talent and one of the best coaches in the 7th region. They’re long and athletic and have playmakers at every position; they are still a little young with the junior class being expected to make a huge jump this season. Caleb says he expects to step up into a leadership role this season and hopefully lead his team to the state tournament. He says they need to play more like a team this season and focus less on individual success.
