This six foot plus do it all guard routinely finds his way to the ball in crucial moments. His play for St Augustine in summer league really showed how well he could handle the point guard position.
So finally, a D1 school came with a real offer as UTEP formally offered Jones the opportunity to play ball there. We suspect this will open the flood gates for schools like Tulane who were on the border of offering in the past. In an earlier report he told us he has heard from: New Orleans, Southern Alabama, Rice, UT Arlington, ETSU, UTC, Columbia, Abilene Christian, Indiana State, and Tulane.
With qualifying not being an issue, Jones is one of those recruits who could become a priority for quite a few low majors with some mid majors being interested as well. His recruitment will likely pick up son and we're excited to see where it goes.
